PACKING light- HOW & WHAT to pack.

Last year we took a long trip across the oceans. WE knew then that it would be months when we return home. Packing was not easy as we were going to travel thru different seasons.  WE started with one suitcase and two carry on. But after one month of traveling, we felt the burden of carrying the big bag. Everywhere we went especially on boats, and when changing accommodations, it was our biggest obstacle.

We had to lose the big one and stay with the two carry-ons so that we have more flexibility while traveling. We also realized that we don't need that many clothes and when we were fed up of what we were wearing we bought local stuff.

Luggage is a big hinder while traveling especially if you are going for a long time and if you will be on the move. As packing well makes a huge difference while going, I promised myself as an experienced traveler, to share some tips on what to pack.

Mind you we had to cancel going to certain cities because of the size and weight of the luggage.

The key is to travel light if you are planning to be on the move and visit several destinations. Below we have accumulated a list of items to help you pack light for your next trip.

When packing use rolling method as it gives you additional 25% in capacity.

When choosing clothes, take wrinkle free ones, that match together and can be washed and dried easily. Choose same color pallets to maximize use of clothes.

Pack multiple thin layers if you are traveling to cold countries instead of a bulky coat. Wear bulky stuff as boats and coats.

Buy what you need locally from where you are traveling, you will have new things to wear during your trip if u get fed up of what you have been using.

Have a safe travel!
